I get a lot of joy out of detail cleaning projects. Today, I looked at the highchair GG never sits in anymore and realized that it was time to go. I washed the fabric parts in the washer and took hot soapy water to the rest. I cleaned every crevice and crack. It looks like new. If my steamer was working I would have done even more.
I folded it up. Shortened it. Snapped all the parts into place and locked the wheels. I put it in a plastic bag. I almost cried. My baby is not a baby anymore.
We will be potty training next Mon, Tues and Wed. After that, I won't have diapers or need for a changing table either. It is also time to pack up all the baby toys and either put them away for future use or sell them at consignment.
Some of you know that I have had the baby bug for a while. We have talked a lot about adoption and having another bio baby. Packing away all this stuff makes me sad and makes me want a baby even more. I am going to focus on the stage we are in now and enjoy it. Baby number three WILL come. I am just not sure when that will be. Until then, I have a preschooler and a toddler...

Just caught up on your blog...now you make me want to go clean and organize something! It is hard to put the baby stuff away, I cringe every time Avrie grows out of something and I have to figure out what to do with it and it makes me sad that she is growing so fast! Glad to hear that there will be more Nordyke's out there someday!
